In 1990, God led Doris and her family to Tabernacle Baptist Church and then to Yellow River Baptist Church by a merging of the two churches in January 1991.  She began working as the church secretary part-time with plans to only work for a couple of years, but God had a different plan.  She has now been in her current position as Secretary for 33 years and is an invaluable member of our church staff.

She and her husband, Larry, celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in February.  God has blessed them with two sons and daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren.
