Adult Ministry2

Welcome to Yellow River's Children's Ministry!   Our purpose is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through everything that we do, praying that your child will receive Him as their personal Lord and Savior.  We also want your child to grow in their knowledge of the Bible, while learning how to apply it to their daily life.  We want children to love the Lord, love their family, love the church, and to learn how to share that love with others.

For the protection of your children and for the integrity of the ministry, each of our teachers and workers have cleared an extensive background check, and each of our teachers has been trained to use their gifts and talents to share the love of Christ with your children.

During the 11:00 am worship service, children, aged 4 through elementary age, will meet in the main assembly room of Fort Faith where they will learn about God's Word in an interactive environment with games, music, crafts, and more.

Newborns or young toddlers through age 3 are invited to our nursery ministry.  We provide a clean, safe, secure, and loving environment for your child during our services.  Every nursery worker is experienced in caring for infants and young children.  We welcome the opportunity to help your child grow and to have fun with other children while you are enjoying our worship services.

Statistics reveal that children between the ages of 5 and 13 are more likely to accept Jesus as their personal Savior than any other age group; as a result, Sunday school is a vital component in teaching young children about the love of God.  We strive to make each child feel loved, accepted, highly valued, and precious in the eyes of Jesus.

We begin each class by allowing the students to share exciting things that took place in their life during the past week.  We encourage every child to share something with the class, as that sharing helps create a closeness and a bond within the class.

We then share praises and prayer requests, and every request is treated with the upmost respect.  We then join our hearts in prayer asking Jesus to bless our requests and our class time.

Our Bible lessons are age appropriate and cover both the Old and the New Testament.  Every lesson has an emphasis on applying what we have learned in our daily lives, encouraging children to be "doers of the word" (James 1:22).

We strive to make learning fun as we do games and activities to help emphasize the Bible lesson with information the child can share with their parents.  Once a month, we join other classes in the "Fort Faith" assembly room for an exciting time of songs, praise, prayer, learning, and snacks.

The goal of the 3rd and 4th grade Sunday School ministry is to assist the family is carrying out Proverbs 22:6 and train up a child in the way they should go. The class begins each week by getting acquainted sharing prayer requests, and highlights of the student’s week. The lesson each week centers completely around God’s Word and how to make application of the truth of Scripture even at a young age.  Activities at the end of the class time are geared to supporting the truth and application of the weekly lesson.

On the first Sunday of each month, the entire children's ministry meets in the main assembly room of Fort Faith for a time of fun, refreshments, praise, prayer, and sharing.  Sometimes a "special guest" will present a devotional to encourage the children.  And we also use this time to plan upcoming activities while encouraging our children to bring visitors.

Our mission is to disciple young people to love the Lord, their family, and their church.  We endeavor to teach young people how to live for Christ and how to share Jesus with others.

We begin each Sunday with snacks and refreshments and in sharing important events of the past week, along with prayer requests and a time of prayer.

The Bible lesson each week leans towards focusing on a variety of characters within the Scriptures and how these people handled various situations that took place in their life.  Each class ends with an activity or a skit that helps to reinforce what we have learned.
